SNBL Clinical Pharmacology Center (Baltimore, MD) is conducting a research study with an investigational medication to see if it helps to reduce the healing time for genital herpes outbreaks. Click here and scroll down to "Genital Herpes Study" for more information; recruiter information is at the bottom of that page.
HELP of Washington is a support group for people who have genital herpes, so we know how it can affect your life. We know the shock, the anger, the fear and the loneliness it can cause. We also know that these feelings are borne of misunderstanding and fear of rejection. Our purpose is to provide accurate information and emotional support.
The newly-revised edition of “Managing Herpes”—a 272 page book that covers medical, social, and emotional issues relating to “living with herpes”—is now available. It can be purchased by check or cash, for $25.00 at our local HELP of Washington, herpes support group meetings. “Managing Herpes” can also be purchased online through the American Social Health Association (ASHA).
Our local organization is truly in need of more funding. The funding is used to cover operating expenses such as: our local telephone help line, printing costs, various office supplies, meeting supplies, advertising, marketing, etc.
Please help keep HELP of Washington up and running so we can continue to give personal interactive support to those in need by sharing medical, social, and emotional experiences related to living with herpes.
Contributions would be greatly appreciated!
